I wasn't around for the WWII years, but I've seen enough movies and heard enough from my parents to know we're not rationing rubber, sugar, cloth, gas, meat, steel and a number of other things we take for granted. No, the vast majority of us haven't sacrificed a thing, certainly not on a daily basis.

We are not sacrificing to build an army as they did during WWII because it is not needed. Should we just ration coffee, sugar and shoes for moral support?
