The United States and Europe have insisted that Iran give up its program of nuclear research.

More BS from NYT.

Properly stated, the civilized world via the U.N. are trying to be assured that the government of Iran ARE peaceful in their nuclear endeavors.

Iran is the entity opposing the guarantee that their endeavors are peaceful!

Of course most know that Iran isn't promoting peaceful consideration toward their endeavors for if so, their President wouldn't have stated his fervor in public for the annihilation of the state of Israel.

What the Iraqi government is stating is that it's the right of a sovereign nation to promote their technological advances ONLY!

Clearly the NYT had an agenda in the way they presented this, but my understanding is that given Iran's refusal to agree to a non-weaponized program, we're opposed to a nuclear Iran, period. Sensible, given our experience with North Korea.
