I've heard Swannie could use some TV ads, too.

I was in Philadelphia the first week in May and all I saw were Fast Eddie commercials too. Hope this is merely the beginning of a groundswell for Swann. GO LYNN GO!!!

I think Lynn Swann is a great guy and all, but I still haven't heard his platform issues.

You're not kidding. Apparently Swannee has a bit too much of the "I'm too important to be captured" attitude(that's a reference from the Flintstones for the culturally-challenged) and is apparently not well-liked by his former teammates.
And I got this from an NFL scout I recently met who speaks from first-hand experience, having witnessed several such moments personally. According to this scout, Franco Harris is not backing Lynn, you are correct.
I HATED to hear this, because I like Swann and am hoping he wins...just another one of those "myth shattering" moments...I guess he's human after all like all of us...

"I guess Franco backs Fast Eddie." But he won't have Rocky Blier to do all his backfield blocking.

My angle was from the fact that Franco's a pretty devout dem. I didn't know and am surprised to hear about his relationship with his former teammates.

It makes me ill. Rendell is up 20. I'm nervous.
To: griswold3
I have. He's been on the road at speaking engagements for the past few weeks, with most of the focus being on his property tax reform initiatives.
But I haven't heard any of Fast Eddie's, thank goodness. The sound of his voice makes me cringe...like he's ready to hack up something nasty.

And the fact that polls show Easy Ed many, many points ahead of Lynn. Pa. pundits are wondering why Lynn has not, not been out campaigning and why the GOP has not been in Pa. helping Lynn. Pa. is a state which could turn at least purple if the GOP would only push Lynn as an alternative to more liberalism from the Dems.
