I had to laugh at this story. The first part, above, is only too true. I just got through doing this a couple of weeks ago.

I got to sit in the hot Colorado sun and listen to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, a Democrat, tell the graduates how priviledged they are to be college graduates (though this was a junior college) and to make a difference in the lives of the poor, etc. etc. The usual stuff. I was actually rather surprised that this guy wasn't more political. It wasn't disrespectful at all, as a matter of fact.

I wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that this school has a gunsmithing program?

Anyway, we all got a sunburn out of it.

HEH!!Of course all the stuff the kids bring home with them will sit in your attic or basement. You will be forbidden to throw it out. Then they will move into an ultra modern abode with no room for it, leaving you with a mountain of untouchable junk to store.

Some people find they can dispose of it only by selling their homes.
