Harper says he'll avoid national media because they're biased against him

OTTAWA (CP) - Stephen Harper says journalists on Parliament Hill are biased against his government so he'll be avoiding them.
The prime minister says the parliamentary press gallery seems to have decided to become the opposition to his Conservative administration. He told a London, Ont., TV station on Wednesday that he is having problems with reporters in the capital that a Liberal prime minister would never face. So Harper says he will take his message out on the road and deal with the less hostile local media.
The comments were sparked by an incident Tuesday when two dozen Ottawa reporters walked out on a Harper event when he refused to take their questions.
Anyway, please freep the poll at globeandmail.com that pertains to the story referenced above.
If only our President had said that in the first month of his election! He could have been much more effective if he had been this blunt and told the country that he considered the drive-by media to be part of the Democrat Party.

Good tactic, IMO. Take your message directly to the people instead of letting it get filtered through MSM bong water.
A US president who tried this would touch off an ongoing vendetta by the MSM that would never end until he was brought down by something.
Based on what I've seen and heard of the Canadian media, they're far too stupid to be able to coordinate this type of strategy. For this reason it may work.
If you know of any one else interested in freeping it, I posted the poll seperately here:

But hasn't the MSM done virtually the same anyway without Bush calling them out?
"A US president who tried this would touch off an ongoing vendetta by the MSM that would never end until he was brought down by something."
I don't see the difference between this and the results from the opposite tack that Bush took. Maybe I'm just thick and you were being sarcastic.
It may work. But I'm sure the liberal MSM up in Canada is just as vindictive and egotistical as the MSM in the US.
Harper is just expressing what anyone without a biased anti-republican agenda in the US understands perfectly clear. The MSM are filled with liberal biased reporters and editors who invent the news to push their own political agenda.
Well, as long as I'm dreaming, Mr. Bush **might** have added the condition for these idiotic press 'conferences' that any questioner taking longer than, say, 5 seconds, 8 if you insist, would be ignored outright.
Point being, if you want information: ask. If you want to make a speech, even a short one: that's not why you're here.
