I have sent it to the governnor along with a letter asking not to be bother with any requests for support in the coming election. As things stand I will not vote for anyone for Governor. We have an 8 billion+ surplus that should be used along with cuts. Starting with cuts in school administrations.
Cuts in school administration should be directed to your local school board. Perry has no influence over budget considerations in your school district.
Texas doesn't always have a surplus of 8 billion, which is why the Texas Supreme Court would never accept a variable source like the surplus or the lottery as a permanent solution to school funding.
This is my thinking too. Huge surplus and they're raising taxes. That's rat behavior, no other way to slice it.
