The GOP isn't smart enough to figure out that it is signing it's own death warrant by giving these illegal aliens amnesty. They will NEVER vote republican. Every one of these RINO senators will be targeted for defeat. Rush cannot say it often enough....when we run on conservative principles, we win every time.

its not so much a concern over how the newly minted immigrants would vote - the issue is more, how will current hispanic american citizens vote on this issue?

I haven't seen any good polls on that.

Well I have a scarier thought. What if they DID know and went ahead anyway? What would that suggest? Is there something happening here that the general population was not given the memo on?

With the North American Union moving over into the passing lane, I have to believe that the suckers do know what they're doing.

Good comment. I agree, a revolution needs/will take place in future elections. The soultion is simple -- Build a fence and seal the border, and jail anyone caught employing an illegal. Problems will be migrating south in a few days.

There needs to be compromise. I can accept amnesty, meaning legalization, but not citizenship. If someone in another country goes to apply for immigration and the State Dept. finds out he's been living here illegally, he would be denied. But, someone who't already here illegally is approved? This is an completely unjust application of immigration law. There needs to be better enforcement of immigration laws (or repeal what we aren't willing to enforce). The two should be separate issues. If an amnesty bill is passed that includes citizenship for illegal immigrants, I'll probably not be voting Republican for a while. (I'll still vote in the primaries, though.)
