If I were making the long-term decision, Id announce, you know, hopefully its a temporary measure, and we can take it down as soon as we have enough people, and weve established a process where weve reduced the level. Way to go Gumby, spend billions to put up a desperately needed fence only to take it down a couple of years later. No process will ever stop illegal immigration period. He's just another typical run of the mill liberal.

John Kerry wants to sit on both sides of the fence.
Undoubtedly he was tricked by falsified intelligence reports into voting for the fence. If it wasn't for Bush falsely claiming, based on forged documents, that Nigerian uranium was going to be brought across the Mexican border to manufacture a dirty nuke, he undoubtedly would have went with his conscience and voted against the fence.
"When I strayed into Cambodia back during the Vietnam War and saw soldiers committing acts reminiscent of Genghis Khan I wished that they had a fence to keep me in the right country."
Sit back and watch John Kerry straddle the fence.

I voted for it because, first of all, a lot of it is the repair of the existing fence. A lot of it is just in the Arizona area, where we have the worst problem, the most numbers of people coming over...." What existing fence in AZ? The occasional strand of barbed wire???

you know, those "fences" that even children can just hop over.

Let me sum this up for the wonderful people of Massachussets. Kerry - "Blah, blah, blah. Family Values. Blah, blah, blah, nation of immigrants. Blah, blah, blah, comprehensive reform. Blah, blah, blah, jobs that Americans won't do. Blah, blah, blah, I'm voting against a wall.
I can take 4 hours of John Kerry speeches and summarize it in 4 sentences without even having to bother listening through to the end.

I looked at this link and do not disagree with much of what I read.
The RINO and Open Borders supporters on these threads love to flame anyone who disagrees that this fiasco of legislation S2611 is nothing more than give away amnesty at the expense of a majority of Americans.
Once the old people wake up and realize that AARP and other senior groups let this legislation go unchallenged then look for some old folks at home rebellion.
Old people love to hold a grudge and the Democrats have set themselves along with the RINOs up for some long term hurt in future elections.
No longer can the Democrats say they are the little peoples party. The RINOS and Democrats have screwed the majority once again on something that is only worthy of being called the Shamnesty Idiocy of 2006.

It is 370 miles of proposed fence to be built. There is 2500 miles left to go. You must remember, I say "proposed" because the money has not been allocated to go. With a fence, all you need is a ladder and you are over the fence. You you are going to build a fence it must be meaningful and solves the problem. I would be very impressed if they built something like Hadrian's wall the Romans built. That wall is still there today.

It's quite refreshing to see a politician who is so firm on his stands.

"Sen. John Kerry on the fence . . ."It's not that he's on the fence, we're used to that. It's how comfortable he looks on the picket. That's just plain wrong!

Why are increased numbers of agents preferable to a fence, if the effect is the same?
