If you are curious about such things I like the American Walter Lippman's 1920s era essays on cultivating "the people's" groupthink in "beneficial" ways using the mass media. As long as we are on subject of propaganda and indoctrination don't forget to read the US magazines and newspapers from 1850 - 1865. Studying the present and past Chinese "groupthink" control system is eye opening. Josef Goebbels' diaries are fascinating. Mao's "Little Red Book", "Mein Kampf", and the speeches of Josef Stalin are required intellectual nutrients. I like Kuenelt-Leddihn's "Socialism".

You might want to switch to personal investigation, to a habit of critical thinking. It is worth the considerable effort required.
