Yikes, he's back to 1932. Was this article written first in German as well?

Pat Buchanan has shown once again that the best thing that has ever happened to the Republican Party is the day he left it

I agree with Buchanan, though I must admit I always do.

We have a shrinking industrial base and a growing dependence on China, Japan and other Asian nations for the necessities of our national life.

Go Pat Go!

There's a reason that the immigration suddenly became a hot issue this year, despite the fact that the problem's been around for a long time. The Dems knew it would split the GOP and hand them power. Pure politics, and a good strategy.

Few today have confidence in the party of Kennedy and Clinton, Kerry and Biden, Pelosi and Reid, Sharpton and Schumer.

Comment:

That may be the only saving grace for the Republicans come this November.

The Democrat leadership is so morally corrupt and downright ignorant of what most Americans really want in a government.

The current crop of Senators leave no doubt in anyones mind about what kind of government will be installed if returned to power.

For the life of me I cannot see how the Republicans will turn around the train wreck that is coming down the track.

But turn around they must for the safety and welfare of this great country.

Our Republican leadership in both the House and Senate just does not instill any kind of confidence that they have a clue as to what needs to be done.

No one seems to have the cajones to stand up to the Democrats and tell them where the calf sucks.

We have some good Senators such as Cobrun, Cronyn, Inhofe, Sessions that seem to be saying they are tired of their leadership doing the old lay down every time the Democrats throw a fit.

I truly believe that this immigration bill will shape American and it's politics for the next Century or so.

Who knows maybe someday Vincente Fox will be running for Presidente in the New American, NOT.

Pat jumped the shark when he chose Felani as his running mate. No one would publish the man's drivel if he wasn't anti-GOP.

Clear thinking analysis of the current political situation.

The Republicans have problems--principally over the war and immigration--but the Democrats have not proven themselves worthy of leadership. Buchanan is exactly right.

>>>>>>>>We have borders we cannot protect, as the Third World mounts an invasion of America.

Once again, Buchanan is exactly right. He's been right about this issue since 1992, but all it's gotten him is endless smearing. I wish we had a President who spoke the truth the way Pat does, instead of acting as an enabler of the Third World invasion, the way Bush does.

Isn't he a bit like a political lucifer? He was once one of the upper level of angels in the Republican movement, he has now fallen away and all he does is wish and hope for our down fall as well.

Pat's an idiot. As is anyone who considers him or herself in his camp.

By the way, did you know Pat lost a relative at a Nazi death camp? Poor guy fell out of a guard tower....

All this is in peril today, as the Republican Party heads into a perfect storm in November that could sweep it away because it has failed not only to address the crisis of the age, but to comprehend it.

The moment Democrats eliminate or limit their worship of abortion, deviant "sexual orientation" and secularism they will get into power for few decades.

But I will not hold my breath.

Good column by Pat.

Why did the the Pat "America Last" haters show up?

He only talked about the USA, their least favorite subject.

America is today a nation bankrupt in the sense that it cannot meet all the IOUs the country has handed out.

Unfortunate high level of agreement with this point.

Buchanan makes many great points. But it is not clear that the baton will pass back to the Democrats. The defining issue now is illegal immigration (aka INVASION across the southern border, aka the making of AZTLAN).

The party (or candidate) that "gracefully" rallies against illegal aliens will get 70 percent of the vote. It's that simple.

"Gracefully" means the party or candidate that slips out of the charge of "racist." If we continue on our current trajectory, then in ten years "racist" could become a badge of honor after our nation slips into vicious race wars, like we've seen in Eastern Europe.
