I have no doubt that young Iranians are sick of their theocrats. But am also confident that given the chance to take over they would immediately turn against the US because we are a supporter of Israel. In the end, Islam trumps everything with these people. Our relationship with them would, at best, be similar to our relationship to Jordan... cordially friendly but never entirely trustworthy.
Call me a cynic, but I haven't trusted the Iranians since 1979.
