So would you be saying there would be a military takeover in that case? Not that I would object in case of a Hillary presidency.
BTW while searching for a story about a kid from Missouri who wanted to wear his kilt to either the prom or graduation I happened to come across several of these military uniforms not allowed at graduation stories. Other than a couple of National Guardsmen at one graduation it has been Marines at least since 1999.
My suggestion would be to prevent this from happening again that Marines and others against it contact their service organization and see about setting up a legal fund to take schools to court for violating the rights of Marines.
Now for something we can all agree on. This was the story on the local news tonight about a WWII Marine and LAPD Vet who had his scooter stolen. Pretty low to steal a crippled vet's only means of transportation.

I just read what Murtha has said lately about so called war crimes. He is no Marine or American and he and Kerry should be showed the exit and never allowed back in the USA.
Any member of the armed forces shouldn't have to need a lawyer to prevent this from happening to them.
However, all that is really needed is a regulation that requires that servicemen and women be required to graduate from civilian schools in uniform. Those schools that deny them the chance to obey regulations would have all federal funding cut off.
Rumsfeld could ordered it tomorrow for all services.

I think he made the right choice to wear the Dress Blues and not the cap and gown. Once you are a Marine Dress Blues is your uniform, not a cap and gown. This is someone that will be protecting our country under the Marine Corps values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Commitment to your Country and your Corps. This isn't just some average kid looking to get out of wearing a cap and gown to graduation, It's about someone who is serving for our country and our freedom wearing the uniform most people wish they could wear.
Wearing the Cap and gown over the Dress Blues is a violation of how the uniform can be worn. Not only is it a violation but it is dissrespect to the uniform. yeapIm only 14, but I know this because I am in the MCJROTC at my High School, hoping to become a Marine.

They did it when I graduated in 1968. There were so many guys in the service they had to.
And I don't giv a damn what branch; when it is a 'cap and gown' ceremony, then SHOW SOME DAMN RESPECT for the ceremony and what it represents instead of attempting to hijack the occassion to selfishly draw attention to oneself.
I don't think that he should be blamed for "selfishly drawing attention to himself." It it not selfish to show that you have the courage to fight for your country. It is people like him that protect your right to say things like that, about him. Somebody else protecting your rights and your freedom, is not being selfish.
He is, if he is expecting the school to make an exception for him. He didn't, and so he is honoring both the Corps and the school.
I did my time in uniform...and not as a JROTC cadet...as well as service not in uniform.
So I have EARNED my rights to say what I please.
