Now Palm Beach goes after Ann Coulter

Universal Press Syndicate Columnist Ann Coulter has not responded to a Florida elections office request that she explain why she allegedly voted earlier this year in a precinct that wasn't hers.

That's according to a newspaper column by Palm Beach Post columnist Jose Lambiet, who has reported several times about Coulter's Florida voting problem......

"The blonde Democrat slayer has not responded to an April letter from the Supervisor of Elections office asking her to explain why she voted in a Town of Palm Beach precinct that wasn't hers earlier this year. The elctions office again tried to contact her last week with another missive. No response. Now the voting-eligibility watchdogs are losing patience."

Lambiet quoted elections offical Charmaine Kelly as saying: "We may start the administrative procedure to remove Ms. Coulter from the voter rolls this week. There will be a public hearing to cancel her registration. If that happens, she won't be able to vote until she re-registers. It's a rather rare procedure."........

after the hearing a decision will be made about whether to refer the case to the state attorney's office for criminal prosecution, Lambiet reported.

Lambiet has previously noted that "Florida statutes make it a third-degree felony to vote knowingly in the wrong precinct. Lying on a voter's registration card can cost up to $5,000 and five years behind bars..."

They're going after Ann Coulter in Palm Beach County, now.

The People's Republic of Palm Beach.

They check if I'm on the list where I vote at. I guess they don't do that in Palm Beach...

If Patrick Kennedy did this not only would someone from upstairs take care of it, we'd get dozens of articles about the pain of being accused of not voting in the proper district, and how it's affected his family which has suffered so very, very much.

I have to believe that there is a logical explanation for this and that that explanation will be forthcoming.

Florida statutes make it a third-degree felony to vote knowingly in the wrong precinct. Lying on a voter's registration card can cost up to $5,000 and five years behind bars.

The first part is very hard to prove. If Florida officials were serious about this, there would be a joint investigation with NY officials. If they really looked into it, they'd find more than a few people with homes in both states voting in both places.

From a Nov. 2004 story at bloomberg.com:

Dual Voter Registration

They're going after Ann Coulter in Palm Beach County, now.

Rumor has it that Ann removed the tag from a mattress in 2001.

Palm Beach will surely prosecute her for that!

I'm sure this was just a random audit by county officials that just happened to turn up Ann Coulter's name. /sarc

If Ann were dead and voting DEM, it would have been no crime.

"Florida statutes make it a third-degree felony to vote knowingly in the wrong precinct. Lying on a voter's registration card can cost up to $5,000 and five years behind bars."

But it's acceptable if you are an illegal alien and you are voting Democrat.

Vote early, vote often!

Keep in mind that this is the county where they had all the trouble with butterfly ballots in 2000, where voters supposedly thought they were voting for Al Gore when they were really voting for Pat Buchanan.

I'm glad to hear that Ann Coulter now lives in Florida, but maybe she ought to move to this area. Here in Seminole County, independents and Libertarians outnumber Democrats. The more I hear about south Florida, the more I appreciate Orlando.

Palm Beach is beautiful but I can't figure out why any conservative would move to this moonbat liberal place.
Why the Island just north is Jupiter. A much more conservative place without very stupid liberal prosecutors trying to make a name for themselves.
Jupiter has more solitude and less self important stupids. If you must live on the coast palm beach just is not a very good place.

First Someone rectify th rule situation.

Second, Ann is alleged to have registered to vote at a friends home so that left wing bomb throwers (literally)don't use voter registration rolls to find her home which is in palm beach but not the same precinct.

OK.

She only voted once.

She voted where she was registered.

We were exhorted by Palm Beach officials to let all the intent of the voters be captured as legal votes.

At face value, Ann has an issue to deal with here - a knowingly improper address on a voter registration, however logical and understandable.

But ... Where are the ACLU types to help her now though? "Where is the crime? Show me a victim?"

Simple statement from Coulter saying, "I thought that was where I was supposed to vote" would nullify this attempted dem . smear.

Joe,

Bingo.

Why her and El-Rushbo would put up with this stuff when their are so many other beautiful communities that have a conservative bent is beyond me.

Maybe they enjoy the tension and pissing off their neighbors just being who they are, but that only goes so far and they can get mean and nasty and make you life a stressful hell.

Tax Free Republican States, Heck their is Texas, Nevada and New Hampshire, but my pick right now is North Carolina, gosh the mountains are beautiful.

The point I take from this --- Why the heck don't republicans do this kind of stuff?

Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Florida -- in all those places and others there are lots of allegations of democratic voter fraud. Republicans in congress, and everywhere seem to ignore it -- Why?

Do they think they're "too big" for that kind of thing?
Are they simply "above" it?
What's the deal?
