It was a shrewd ops play. The press will say... like yourself, he doesn't know what he's doing...I guess I'll have to leave it to more strategic thinkers how giving the press the opportunity to portray him as incompetent is a good move.

"This is just a mess," he acknowledged good-naturedly.
That may turn out to be the worst soundbite of the day.

The enemedia needs a major enema and Tony is the one to give it.

Direct correlation: The more the drive-by-media critisizes Tony Snow, the better he's doin'.

Looks the Tony's 'Honeymoon' with the press corps didn't survive the wedding ceremony.
To: SelmaLee
Tony Snow's "West Wing Office" - (sweet)! LOL, better than his old digs.

Couple of things come to mind:
I hope Tony Snow is well enough and past his cancer treatments now to take on such a high stress overload job.
He knows best for himself and no doubt he'll be able to retire and write some books when it is over in a couple of years.
My other concern - it is a question: Why are the reporters on camera allowed to go on ad nauseum for a full three-four minutes with their question(s) just for air time exposure?
Why are they not limited to 30 second sound bites and they have to shut up even if not finished?
I am tired of posturing for the public by these mealy-mouthed press corps....they are piranha moving in on a target.

I simplify them with the tern, "Enemedia."
What a descriptive name for them! Let's codify this one.

Hi Lee,
It didn't look likely that there was going to be a live event today.
When this came up, it looked promising, so I started this thread to act as our Tony fix for the day.

I hope Tony Snow is well enough and past his cancer treatments now to take on such a high stress overload job. I hear that he had extensive consultations with his doctors on that point exactly.

Aren't 90% of our "journalists" partisan hacks?
To: dotnetfellow
Still waiting to see Snow's face plastered all over the news all the time the way McClellans was.
You can be certain that the better Tony does ... and the more often he humiliates the jackals ... and the more of them he emasculates [even the so-called "gals"] ... the less and less we will see and hear of him. Just watch for the press briefings to be ignored ... as not newsworthy ...
God bless good conservatives like Tony Snow [and please, God, keep him healthy!] ... and g-d the DriveByMedia ...!
