To: Bluegrass Conservative
IF I think a third party candidate has a legitimate shot at winning and best espouses my views, then I would vote for that person. However, viability is my first concern.

Thing is here in MN nobody saw it coming (Ventura winning) until it was over so that may be hard to forecast.

In any case GOP backers are in a tight spot because I think the GOP is gambling that people will vote just like you. In my opinion, politcians do not care what we think.

Anyone who followed the last month of that campaign knew that Ventura was a legitimate candidate. Not many people (myself included) thought he would actually win, but you had to speculate he would get over 25% of the vote (my personal benchmark for viability in a three person race).
