Fear-mongering is a pretty weak platform to run on.

We all laughed at the democrats for running on a campaign of fear mongering in the last election.

The difference was, the democrats were fear mongering policy and actual programs that the republicans had and the dems hated. The dems are not offering anything at all but investigations.

That said, I believe we fear too much. We could actually pick up seats in the senate in Maryland and NJ. Unlike some, I do not consider flushing a RINO in RI as a terrible thing.

The house is more problematic...when one looks to individual seats, we win a few and perhaps lose a few more but nowhere like the 15 the dems need to create mischief.

Bush could give us and him a 5-10 pt boost in a week simply by supporting real border enforcement and vetoing a few pork laden bills.
