Geeze you'd think Congress could pull a few bucks from support for Gay Chimpanzee studies, or bridges to nowhere, to get the best protection available for our troops. But since lots of the troops likely will have their ballots thrown out by local officials in the next election, like they were in the previous elections, the politicians aren't all that interest in them. Even if their votes were counted, the numbers are not high enough to quicken the pulse of the polycriters. Now if they were welfare recipients .... or seeking grants from HHS, they'd have a website to use to order a the new helmet.
