Frist hasn't said squat until now. I think the e-mails, letters, and general consensus have been starting to clear away the fog. He actually used the phrase "Lock down the borders"
We HAVE to keep this mail flurry going. For all of the fluff, and typical politicking, I think we're finally getting noticed by these goons we call our "senators"

If anything gets his attention, it should the poll results here on FR regarding immigration and turnout. FreeRepublic probably offers a good cross section of the conservative (not republican) base.
If over 50% of freepers are planning to either stay home or vote 3rd party if something isn't done about immigration then that should be a pretty clear message to the GOP.
Frist has heard from me at least a dozen times. It's important that we keep the heat up. To be fair, I'm now a Tennesseean, so it makes sense that I'm contacting him.
Frist is one of those who I think we can reach. He introduced a very good bill when this whole debate began. It didn't grant amnesty, it hit employers with fines if they hired illegals, and it required fencing part of the border. Tancredo actually liked Frist's bill.
Problem is, the minute it hit the floor it got diluted and Frist didn't fight for it. Get that man to fight (I know, tall order) and we might get somewhere.
