Here's a thought. The license will cost $2000 a year and will require auto insurance. Both cost will be garnished from their employers wages every week to insure compliance. If you hire an illegal, you will be financially resposible for his/her costs. Why not throw some mandatory health care benefits for good measure. Liberals are always whining about Walmart and every other business owner to provide health care bennies. So in a nutshell, the liberals should get everything they want as long as they pay for it. NOT the taxpayers! So now instead of just SS taxes and federal witholding taxes being held, there will now be health ins., auto ins., and drivers licence cost witheld. We'll see how fast they support that.

The Democrats support illegals getting driver's licenses because it makes it easier for them to vote.

This is a Democrat's response to your plan.

"But, But that would disadvantage them. More welfare for the poor immigrant from south of the border. Also preferential treatment. And you better not call them racial epithets, or else you will be charged with a hate crime"

As soon as legal precedent is set, about their non-existent "rights", they'll be thrown under the bus by those socialist-commie 'law firms', and we'll get the process moving.

True but how long to set the precedent sometimes it takes years.

"there was a hispanic looking man behind the counter at the DMV overseeing the lic give out..no language tests - the group of hispanics getting lic's was very large that day. the DMV clerk was near tears as she told me they were being forced to give these lic's.."

And how many of these incompetent drivers are going to get into accidents, and maybe kill people?

Unconscionable.

Sometimes, it does. I prefer much more direct, forceful action, but am in the tiny monority of enforcing our existing laws, by whatever means it takes to get them outta here.

"
But when police pull them over and they can't produce a driver's license, they find themselves ticketed and given a court date, or even jailed and their vehicles impounded."

Good. They are breaking the laws of this country. They deserve to worry about consequences. This whole story is disgusting. People who are not residents do not deserve the same privileges as the legal. It is not discrimination to prosecute criminals.

""Close-minded people want to make criminals of the people working in the fields, in hotels and restaurants," Fellsmere restaurant owner David Almanza said.
"

Crazy isn't it? Nobody wants to make criminals of people working legally in any industry. We want the laws of our countries enforced. Both on illegals and on those who hire them. It is not being closeminded to demand the laws on the books be enforced.
