Paul Eckerstrom, chairman of the Prima County Democratic Party, complained that forcing Arizona voters to prove their citizenship is "anti-American and anti-democracy."

.....This is INSANE!How can proving citizenship be " anti American"???

So I guess asking Patches Kennedy for his license and registration was anti-American, and we should just forget the whole thing.

"It's just another obstacle for voters to deal with," Eckerstrom griped.

Any voter who gripes about having to show an ID to prevent bad votes doesn't deserve to vote.

Why would a voter object to keeping out votes that would make his own vote less meamingful?

In Arizona's Prima County alone, elections officials have rejected 59 percent of all applicants in the last two weeks - or 423 of the 712 new registrants.

In ONE county alone!! Can you imagine what the numbers are throughout the rest of the country?

Wake up America, don't you realize that illegal aliens can vote to change the course of our country? Does anyone care? Socialism here we come...

During the communist day of illegal protests, the liberals were signing up all the illegals to vote.
It would be wise if all states adopted such a measure do to the blatantness of the left wing communists that day. It's the only way to insure our elections retain their elective representation through democracy rather than through an illegal foreign mob rule.

Funny how Democrats want to give away American voting power to foreigners and call the defenders of our country anti-American.

"According to the Arizona Daily Star, state election officials credit the citizenship requirement contained in Proposition 200, the illegal-immigration initiative passed last November, for screening out the illegal voters. "

This is great! Every state should pass such a law.

Don't see any mention of prosecution for perjury. I think when you register you sign under penalty of perjury that you are a citizen and reside at the address stated on the registration form. There is a "vote dilution" civil rights case here if laws qualifying electors are not enforced. Each citizen's vote is being unconstitutionally diluted (and congressional seats based) upon persons not legally entitled to vote. Where is the civil rights community on this?>

Despite the fact that it's illegal for non-citizens to vote, the rejections had Arizona Democrats up in arms.

They have to resort to cheating to win elections. Americans won't fund or vote for them.

I think the democrat party is gasping for breath. Political correctness drove too many people away. It was a form of government mandated mind control. People don't like being forced to think contrary to their conscience.

To get an idea of the damage illegal voters can do, consider what happens in counties containing Indian reservations. The Indian voters can vote their approval for every tax increase that comes along, enjoy whatever benefits those additional taxes provide, and never have to pay a dime out of their own pockets. Enough votes from these illegals could easily bankrupt a town, city, or county.

He said Proposition 200's "real intent" was to make it difficult for voters - especially those inclined to vote Democratic - to cast a ballot.

If they can dig up dead people to vote, I'm sure the live ones would do just fine. Don't worry about it.

It sure is funny hearing the scumbag Democrats howl about how their base of illiterate parasites gets squeezed out of voting over silly things like.... United States citizenship.

It is legal for LEGAL - GREEN CARD Holders - with PERMANENT RESIDENCE STATUS to vote in SOME local and State elections.....NOT ALL....with proof of residence and ID.

"Voting
One of the most important privileges of democracy in the United States of America is the right to participate in choosing elected officials through voting. As a Permanent Resident you can only vote in local and state elections that do not require you to be a US citizen. It is very important that you do not vote in national, state or local elections that require a voter to be a US citizen when you are not a US citizen. There are criminal penalties for voting when you are not a US citizen and it is a requirement for voting. You can be removed (deported) from the US if you vote in elections limited to US citizens."

If these people get their way, such that any visitor to the US should have the civil right to vote, then they might as well start handing out voter applications to all passengers of incoming flights at all the international terminals on US soil!

The absurdity of constitutional rights for every person on the planet whether they are citizen or not or wheather they adherer to the oath of allegiance to the constitution as a voter knows no bounds.

check this out , unbelievable:

In Chicago, Democratic campaign worker Howie Connum expressed frustration at his inability to get many of the protestors to register to vote. "These morons think that because they are here illegally and don't speak English that they shouldn't vote," said a fuming Connum. "I tell them that their votes are a way to safe guard their rights, but they have an overblown fear of getting caught. There's a basic lack of understanding about how the system works."
