The central figure in the CIA leak scandal, Valerie Plame, is now shopping a book proposal, The New York Times reports Thursday.
Naturally, this comes by way of a leak--but this time not from Robert Novak or Scooter Libby. It comes from what he Times calls "two people familiar with the project." It adds: "Both people were granted anonymity because their publishing companies have signed nondisclosure agreements about the content of the proposal."
No details were available about the content. Her husband, Joseph Wilson, wrote a book himself, published last year.
Plame, who was outed as a CIA operative by columnist Novak (with a little help from his friends), retired from the agency in January. She told E&P's Joe Strupp last weekend that she has been enjoying raising her children, which she described as a tougher chore than being a CIA officer.

Wonderful, another scumbag seeking to make big money from betraying America. Bad enough that we have had to endure 3 years of outrageous nonsense from the Wilsons which has badly distorted our national debate, but now she wants to get big bucks for writing an apologia for her treasonous behavior:

Just what could she put in a book that would be worth paying for.
She's had her 15 minutes of fame and needs to sleek back into her liberal sewer.

I'm curious - can you name one act by Plame that could fairly be described as "treasonous"? I'm not talking about something you just make up or speculate upon - rather something you could actually point to some evidence of?

And she won't be disclosing ANY secrets in this book, right?
How can she discuss her time in the "organization" and the role of the front she contributed to the DNC under without giving out pieces of the "puzzle"?

She is part of a shadow government of Clinton holdovers who disagree with the current administration on policy and use the power of their unelected offices to oppose these policies.
When Bush/US is attempting to make the case for war and the holdovers are attempting to spin opposition to war (AID/COMFORT to the enemy), there could be treason at play.
But we don't prosecute for treason much these days. Jane Fonda was never charged even though she sat on an enemy cannon during war and posed for photos.

trea·son [from dictionary.com]
1. Violation of allegiance toward one's country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one's country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
2. A betrayal of trust or confidence.
I am attributing to her the words and actions of her husband, since she has been hiding in the shadows while he carries on his depraved jihad against the administration. You and I know she has been careful (thus far) to avoid all public fingerprints on what has gone on in Pflamegate these past 3 years. Lying endlessly, betraying one's oath of office, and organizing an extensive dishonest media campaign to weaken and undermine the US government in the midst of our war with jihadists is treasonous in the moral sense of the term, though I am well aware that legal practice in the USA has not allowed convictions (or even charges) for treason for most of our history, even for the most explicit acts, so obviously I am not speaking in legalistic terms but rather in moral terms. If you do not think what the Wilsons have been up to is treasonous then you are the one that has a very loose standard for the word (again, I am not talking about law but about political morality).
