Creation of Israel proves nothing. British Empire had the largest Islamic population any empire had in its history. And outside of the British Empire, Britain also created Iran, Iran and much of the present day Arab countries post WWII.

Not all brits were friends of israel. If they had half a chance they would have gladly sold israel to the arabs. The British imposed severe restrictions on Jewish immigration to Israel. Also let us not forget that it was the British that created the "Emir of Transjordan". If not for Truman, the Anglo American Committee of inquiry and the fairness of the American people the British would not have supported the formation of Israel.
