They actually bashed Hitlery several times. "Mac" wasn't a liberal, she was an independent and more conservative than anything. I did finally get fed up with the teenager parts of the story line, but liked the overall contrast with the President's duties as President and as mother, especially to the little girl.
It was good to see Polly Bergen, too. And I liked Donald Sutherland's character (as a man you love to hate) and Natasha Henstridge or whatever her name is - one of the former SheSpies, my favorite late night "camp" show to laugh at.
I totally agree with your analysis of the show. Geena wasn't a bad, unregenerative Democrap at all. I might have voted for her and I always vote for Republicans for POTUS. Even for the last one, unfortunately.
