MY satellite radio subscription is one of the best buys I made in the last few years. AM and FM have become "all ads all the time". If it were not for Rush and some sports programs, I would not listen to terrestrial radio at all.

You don't need to pay for radio and I don't need to listen to any commercials. We each get what we want thanks to a market with good competition. I think it's great. :)

My office pals all chipped in and bought a satellite radio. It didn't work. The walls in our office buildings are built with metal studs. They act as a giant antenna, scrambling the satellite radio's signals. The only way around it is to fish the satellite radios own antenna over ceiling tiles and get it next to a window. But it was a long run, and still worked poorly. We took it back.
