These live Savage threads are almost as fun as the Helen Thomas threads, except unlike the Helen Thomas threads, there are actually a few Freepers who defend Der Weiner_schnitzel.

Savage isn't for everyone. It helps if you realize he is hamming it up and that in a lot of ways, 'Michael Savage' is a fictional character.

Do as he says, not as he does.

He is patently jealous of the more capable (and popular) radio personalities.

It's kind of sad.

Savage is 3rd nationally,

I've heard that thrown around. Got source?

Whatever - his appeal to a lot of folks, is the same attraction that makes people slow down and gawk at a car crash.

Rep. King's list of things that wouldn't happen every day if we truly had no illegal immigrants is impressive.

You can count on Savage to give this kind of stuff airtime.

You can count on Rush to talk about how brilliant the GOP leadership is. You can also count on Hannity to talk about Pol Pot and Rwanda at odd, incongruous times.

We all have different tastes. No harm no foul. :-)

I like Savage's act - it's very funny and once I figured out what the gimmick was, I really really began enjoying it.

Rep Steve King on now, making fantastic points. A true patriot. Says he wishes the people "boycotting America" would refrain from doing everything else that makes our lives miserable, such as bringing in drugs, clogging our emergency rooms, crowding our prisons and welfare offices, streaming across the border 11,000 per day, raping 8 American women per DAY, etc.

After listening to Savage, the other hosts sound like boring shills. The fact that Savage is loathed by Democrats and Republicans alike earns him points in my book.

Phil Hendrie has a great gimmick and I don't think anybody would dare try to steal it. He is one of a kind!

Savage's gimmick isn't Hendrie's gimmick at all.

Me too. I find the 'Dems bad, GOP good' mentality loathsome. Most of the guys I listen to are fairly clear minded and aren't GOP $hills (Ingraham, Prager, Medved, Savage, & Hewitt).

Here's a potential topic that could come up today: promotion of Michael Weiner's books.

You can't be serious. Savage promotes his own books far less than people like Limbaugh, half of whose commericals are peddling his own products. Please come up with a legitimate argument. Savage is a true patriot who has been ahead of the curve on issue after issue, from the SwiftVets, to Able Danger to the Dubai ports deal. He wrote a book nearly 20 years ago warning of the dangers of drug-resistant strains of TB that third world immigrants were bringing into the U.S.--a plague which is wrecking California's healthcare budget today.
