You know those "10 felonies" that Palm Beach County attorneys said Rush committed? http://www.drudgereport.com/flash2rl.htm Well, that's turned into one charge over 40 (!) pills that will be dismissed in 18 months if Rush keeps up with his drug rehab.

Can you say "fishing expedition"? I knew you could...

And he's been submitting to random drug tests for over two years already.

ABC news ran the bogus arrest story right after his show Friday. Did they ever clarify their fallacious report or retract anything? Hell no.

They can lie and mislead, but they can't change the facts. Rush is innocent and it is over. They just had to take one more jab at the guy.

Furthermore, Rush has been subjected to
impromptu drug tests for the pasts 2 years.
Nothing new here...he won! The deal was
to save the Palm Beach Prosecutor's face
because someone had to come up with the
scratch to offset the taxpayers' monies
he spent. (You remember Palm Beach from
1990...blue-haired ladies unable to read
read the voting ballots?)
So the court said, "Mr. Limbaugh..you pay
the State $30K court costs and we'll wipe
the slate clean!" And it's THAT little
monetary point which the Democrat Prosecutor
is basing HIS victory on. Wouldn't be
surprised if Tom DeLay has to end up the
same way...pay the fine for the insult!
Limbaugh's lawyer.

This deal was simply an ARD. Happens to lots of 1st time offenders. The Democrat DA just wanted to bust Rush's b#@#s and drag it out.

The stupid MSM is trying to act like this is something new. Their hatred is amazing.

Rush said he spent millions defending himself. I would submit the DA also spent a huge amount of taxpayer money on this political case, and had to make the choice not to prosecute other cases because of the hours nad dollars expended. This situation seems similiar to the union member who sees his dues spent for a political agenda he does not support. I think the same point could be made in regard to the DA who went after Tom DeLay.

In its 11 pm news on Friday night, hours AFTER the original story and the clarifications had come out, our local NBC affiliate in Atlanta reported that Rush Limbaugh had been "behind bars" -- something that never happened. They made the story out to be an arrest, rather than a deal that was made to put an end to the charade.

Did you contact the local affiliate's news department? I know that these things are usually "blown off" but then they also get defensive when they know they screwed up and their bias shows. Ask when the next "public comment" period is when their license is up for renewal with the FCC. That works too. Have fun if you call.

For the government to accept such a donation is reprehensible to me, because the precedent and economic reality is that any individual who can accumulate enough funds can hire the DA to attack someone he/she does not like. Sorry about the typos on my last post. I just finished running, and my hands and eyes are not working right yet.

Yeah, every time I report for reserve duty there is supposed to be a random pee test based on your last four or something like that. Mox nix, they can use mine for antifreeze. It's not only zero-drugs cold, but has ethanol protection down to twenty below.

;^)

Please FReep this poll about Rush Limbagh in the Palm Beach Post. We had it up to 66.7% no, but it has been counter-FReeped and is now 56.35% yes and 43.65% no.

Did Rush Limbaugh get off too easily?

Here's a previous thread on Free Repubublic.

Limbaugh turns himself in for doctor-shopping (FReep poll on same page as story)
