TIJUANA, Mexico - The body of a U.S. citizen kidnapped nearly three weeks ago has been found in Tijuana by police, who said he had been beaten, strangled, stripped naked and stashed in the trunk of a car.
Investigators said Saturday that they found the remains of George Kwok Choi Chu, a seafood wholesaler who worked in Tijuana but lived across the border in San Diego, on Friday morning. The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City identified the victim simply as George Chu.
Chu was kidnapped April 11 in front of his business near downtown Tijuana, according to the embassy. It was unclear whether the car that contained Chu's body belonged to him.
His body's state of decomposition suggested he had been dead for days before being found, police said.
Chu was kidnapped three days after another U.S. businessman, Yong Hak Kim, was abducted as he drove to his job as a top administrator of Amex Manufacturing in eastern Tijuana.
Kim was able to escape the small home where he was being held about 24 hours later, when his kidnappers fell asleep.
Tijuana's booming assembly-for-export business has led to many businesspeople living in the United States and commuting to factories on the Mexican side of the border.

American Buisnessman ?
This is part of the reason China and India have become attractive to manufacturers looking for a site for their operations. It isn't just about wages. It doesn't matter how low wages are if your execs and your truckers are under constant threat of kidnap or hijacking.
By most measurements, Mexico has huge advantages for companies looking to offshore or outsource operations. But the security problems trump all other considerations.
You will continue to see companies leaving Mexico for East and South Asia.
Mexico is a sh!t hole as are many of their citizens.
As time goes on, I am getting to know and like them less and less.
I find it interesting (well not really) that when someone is kidnapped in Iraq we get days upon weeks of news reports.
Yet it happens to someone in our 'Friend' south of the border, and nary a peep on any of the Network News Channels...
Seeing United 93 today made me think of the INVADERS from Mexico with even more wrath. Their timing is not good....people are pissed.
Maybe he refused to pay for "protection."
They wage war on every level possible short of declaration and our leadership continues to look the other way for fear they might sell their oil to someone else. That ridiculousness is compounded by our government forbidding oil pumping all over because of the ecological faction's demands. I say those hippies need to cry on each other while the owls, fungus and caribou adapt to changes (as true Darwinism illustrates). We're being held for ransom over easily had resources by political kowtowing to special-interest threats. Screw them.
Because his name isn't Nathanial Smith or something , you question it?
Dat Nguyen is an American football player.
Hakeem Olajuwon was an American basketball player.
Massad Ayoob is American too.
Kidnapping is a Mexican standard in order to extort money - happens all the time.
I'd like the US to takeover Mexico, and break it up into states, if it weren't for the war we're already in.
A couple of months ago was my birthday and my driver's license expired. Being the world's greatest procrastinator I found it much too difficult to sign a piece of paper and drop a check in the mail so I had to go to the DPS office in Arlington and renew it there. While I was waiting for an hour and a half to get my number called, I was completely blown away by how many times I watched Hispanics go up to the counter and be turned away by the clerk telling them that they cannot have a driver's license today because the date of birth on the birth certificate they were presenting did not match the date of birth associated with the Social Security card they had.
It was obvious to anyone in there that they had bought the documents they were using to try to get a driver's license (probably in the parking lot just before coming in) but what really ticked me off was the 4 State Troopers that just sat there and watched this happen over and over again (at least 20 different people in the hour and a half I was there). I now it's not the Trooper's fault, I'm sure they've been told it not their jurisdiction.
I guess the lesson here is if you're a terrorist and need a driver's license in Texas, just make sure you steal a matching birth certificate and social security card, because apparently sneaking across the boarder, being in possession of someone else's identification and attempting to get a real driver's license by fraud are not serious offenses. And, judging by everything I've heard in the media and read in the Dallas Morning News lately, it is my fault for even being upset by it because my race stole this land from Mexico.
Well, sometimes I wouldn't mind that siesta. ;-)
That's just the beginning of Mexican extortion. I knew of one fellow who went down and opened up a coffee shop south of Rosarita. Ended up having to pay $5k/month to the constables in extortion. If he came up short they'd threaten his life or smash up part of the shop. They told him if he closed down, they'd kill him. He had a Mexican amigo drive him across to the US in the middle of the night one weekday to escape them. A couple of weeks later the amigo turned up missing. Not a good investment without your own personal security forces.
Body count PING.
Our "Friend" (south of the border) seems to be getting a lot of WALK free passes.
And people wonder why we're angry about the idea of amnesty coming out of the Senate...
