Wasn't Billy Martin also killed in a pickup truck rollover acident? Wierd.

Steve was a decent guy with a drug problem. Dodger pitchers Bob Welch and Don Newcombe overcame similar troubles and became an inspiration to people like myself, who were trying to beat the bottle.
I'm very sad to hear of Steve's death. God bless him. RIP.

When I glanced at the title I thought they were referring to the guitarist. Still too bad to be sure. I remember watching him when with the Dodgers. RIP guy.

I was a big Dodger fan. Raised and lived over half my life in LA Co, remember when he was drafted. May he RIP.

Good luck in your fight! Congratulations on having enough faith in yourself to try and overcome a powerful foe.

Vinny will have something to say about this tonight, assuming he made the trip to San Diego (Scully's not doing too many road games anymore). If not him, then Charley Steiner (TV) and possible former teammate Rick Monday (radio) will say something.
