As the nation continues to debate what to do about our southern border, I thought I would point out a piece of informaton I found in a cache of documents released by the Pentagon in early March. In connection with a lawsuit brought by the Associated Press, the Pentagon released thousands of pages of documents transcribed during tribunal hearings for the hundreds of terror suspects held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. There is a lot of interesting information in those documents, including the allegations against one detainee who was caught while trying to sneak across the Mexican border.
The name of the detainee was not given in the original two-page transcript I reviewed. Just recently the Pentagon released the names of hundreds of Guantanamo's inmates, but I haven't been able to match one of those names to this suspect, yet.
The U.S. government alleges that the detainee “attempted to be smuggled into the United States” and “traveled with forged travel documents, including a passport and other travel documents.” The detainee admits that he was caught while attempting to illegally enter the U.S., but claims that he “was going to find a job to make some money.”

I'm ready to fax the following letter to all:
Dear Senators and Representatives,
Skip the gimmicks – just cut Federal gasoline taxes by 50% and quit attempting to (1) blame “big oil” for gouging; (2) loosen EPA standards that rise during warmer weather; (3) trying to buy our votes by offering us $100.00 of our own money back, and (4) cut red tape and allow refineries to be built without having to jump through hoops and/or lawsuits over idiotic things.
The American people are smart enough to figure out that oil companies profiting by $.09 per gallon and Federal Gas Taxes around $.50, not to mention State, County and City taxes that the government is sure “profiting” lots more than “big oil.”
While you are wondering what it will take to make me interested in voting for you, you might eliminate any form of “guest worker” program for anyone who is here illegally and absolutely no one here illegally being offered any form of American Citizenship without going through the same rules that you, yourselves have imposed on all immigrants.
Border control that really “controls our borders “ and not some drone that lets border agents 200 miles from where the violators are coming across illegally, won’t cut it.
Enforce the laws that have already been passed but never enforced. Not to do so, tells me that there are actually two sets of laws: ones that I have to obey and others that illegal aliens, businesses who hire them and people who entice them to come here illegally and any organization that shelters them once they are here be it a church, soup kitchen, “community outreach center”, etc. are ignored for breaking.
To do less than that, tells ordinary Americans like myself, that the only people that you’d really like to represent are illegal aliens.
Any thing less than these steps tell me that you are only interested in me at election time and not worthy of my vote.
Just coming here to commit the terrorism Americans don't want to. Al-Qaeda values don't stop at the Rio Grande.
Note: The current Bush McKennedy amnesty scheme would cover all of the Al Qaeda operatives that can sneak in and pretend that they've been here for years. These illegal "immigrants" will get their "earned citizenship" just like the dishwashers, lawn mowers, and lettuce pickers that criminal employers have been exploiting for years.
Don't forget, open ANWR and allow drilling off of Florida and California, and more in the gulf.
The only surprise here is that he was caught.

Here's something to think about. Hit American companies that make money from Mexican products -- and are sold to Americans, where it hurts.
Anheuser-Busch is moaning that profits are down. Aside from being a corporate sponsor of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), they are big supporters of the homosexual agenda. They also own 50% of Corona brewer Grupo Modelo (and 27% of Tsingtao, one of China's top brewers).
Quit drinking Corona. It's a BIG profit maker. In Chicago, for instance, Corona is the numer one selling import.
Boycott Corona!
BTW, who's MALDEF? In 1998, MALDEF’s co-founder Mario Obledo had this to say: "California is going to be a Hispanic state, and anyone who doesn't like it should leave. They should go back to Europe."
That same year, Bill Clinton awarded Obledo a Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Just detaining the detainees that Guantanamo no longer detains.
"In either case it is disturbing to learn that the government has found a smuggling network associated with two prominent terrorist groups just south of our border. The allegations against this detainee also raise interesting questions concerning what, exactly, Hezbollah and the IG are planning."
