Who is suffering the most casualities in Iraq fighting the terrorists and insurgents?

If you listen to the main stream media, or listen to the liberals and others who voice opposition to the war in Iraq, you would think that the United States is virtually going it alone and suffering the mass majority of casualties in this war to end the Ba'athist regime, their support for terrorism, and to liberate Iraq and allow their people to be free.

Nothing is further from the truth.

I have many friends over there in the military and as contractors and they have long held a different story. I have now find a site with significant documentation on who is fighting and dieing in the war on terror in Iraq and the struggle to establish freedom there.

Here re the results:

Military Death in Iraq resulting from enemy action (terrorists and insurgents with percentage of the whole in parens)

United States Military - 2392 (33.40%)
United Kingdom Military- 105 ( 1.45%)
Other Colaition Forces - 110 ( 1.54%)
Iraqi Security Forces - 4556 (63.61%)

In addition, over 10,600 Iraqi civilians have been killed by the terrorists and insurgents.

The Iraqis themselves are bearing the large majority of the deaths due to the fight for their freedom and this is how it should be. Do not let anyone tell you any different. Despite those deaths, the Iraqi people continue to sign up to fight for their own freedom by the tens of thousands along side our forces.

What are the casualties of the terrorists, and why are we giving the terrorists sanctuaries, like Syria and Iran?

It is interesting since it obviously paints a picture of an Iraq that is very much so already involved in maintaining its own security. Something our MSM seems to "want" to ignore.

No exact figures that I am awre of on the terrorists...but I bet it is in the many tens of thousands. And as far as I am concerned, that fly trap is a worthy reason to be there, letting them flock to their deaths, by itself.

Wish we knew how many of the Islamopignazis have been sent to meet their Helen Thomas clones. I have heard from some in the know that we have absolutely no idea how many we have taken out but it's well over 100,000. We don't hear about most of the kills because they are just truck convoys crossing in the night filled with littlesheetheads coming to the jihad. Next thing they know Allah is asking them what they think of their new 72 virgins.

That's probably when reality strikes and for several reasons they wish they were with their camel that night instead of riding in the back of that damned truck!

Bingo...that is exaclty the point. This should be a major story and it isn't for that very reason. IMHO, the bias of the MSM and the Democrats do not want the American people realizing this very critical point.

Yes I said 100,000 but I wouldn't be surprised if were at least double that. Hey either way the only path to victory for the littlesheetheads is to hope the demosocialists get elected over here. Unfortunately not an unlikely prospect.

Oops...I see the extrea zero now, and I agree with you.

The only hope they hold is for a demo or rino admin to come in and call our part off. We should be pouring on the coal, establishing more fly traps for them to rush to IMHO.

The radical islmaics have proven (and continue to prove by their actions) that they will have to be pacified through iradication just like the Nazis and the Banzis were.

In addition, over 10,600 Iraqi civilians have been killed by the terrorists and insurgents.

Where does this number come from? The website shows 8643 civilian casualties back to the beginning of 2005 and a "?" prior to that.

Thanks for posting this information and the link to the website. There are more than just US troops dying over there, but the other deaths don't seem to fit in with the leftist agenda.

The page where they list the numbers you cite is based on news accounts. They have another page where the official Iraqi government reports of cvilian casualities are listed HERE on the left side below the bar graph.

Okay. I was just wondering where the number 10,600 civilian deaths came from. Below the bar graph they add 2751 police/military and 8201 civilian and come up with 10952 for total number of Iraqis killed. I don't see a 10600 number anywhere.

I'm trying to gather the statistics for a big "in-your-face lefties" post on a certain board where I hang out. If you make a mistake with the numbers they come after you like a flock of harpies.

I added the numbers under that, since Feb 2006, figuring they were not included in the earlier numbers. If they are, then the number should be the 8200 number.

Thanks. Been wondering how to find them.

has anyone else noticed that all the doom & Gloom MSM reports now parrot the fact that this month is the highest casualty total for the year--but don't mention that the expected total will probably be less than several months in previous years and that the trend has been downward.

Oh, that's right the MSM supports the troops with every good bit of information they can get their hands on.

The MSM and the DNC are all so unbelievably transparent in their opposition to our troops and their mission. Every bad news item is reported...with all the doom and gloom, while none of the truly inspiring things get reported.

Most of the country and most of the Iraqis are glad we are there, want to be free, and are willing to stand up and fight for their own freedom...and they are doing so.
