Its immoral to protect our country. The Open Borders Lobby folks ought to cool their faux outrage, since illegal aliens arrested are still not summarily deported. Its just for show the ICE is doing this to take the heat off the Administration for the absence of an enforcement policy. They don't really mean to get serious there though.

It's been a good PR move for the Bush administration. Most of my acquaintances are happy something was being done about the illegal immigration issue.

They didn't protect the country. It was a "catch and relase" raid. All the illegals captured were given court dates and let go - never to be seen again.

The Bush Administration is beginning to remind me of the alcoholic fathers I used to see as a kid that would sit, drunk in their easy chairs, clutching a beer, and yelling (over and over and over) at the kids "If you do that one more time I'm going to spank your ass.
