If all the crop circles are fake, it's a high-tech, government-sponsored job, done from satellite or some other ultra high-tech means. There is no way that some of those designs - for which the term "circles" is entirely inadequate - could have been made in a few hours by people thrashing around in the dark with ropes and planks.
