No matter how many times this is said, it still doesn't give the US Govt permission to kill his followers.
Or, are you claiming otherwise?
Fire? I thought it was the gubmint?
The fire was to cover-up the gubmint criminal activity.
I'm curious about why the author felt it necessary to include race in the vital statistics of this tragedy.
Second, I'm curious if you think it's okay for the gubmint to burn eighty people, including kids, just because they don't believe like most folks do.
How, in that short description, do you find me claiming it's ok for the US government to kill him and his followers?
What was the crime? What was he charged with?
I believe that this was hashed over endlessly on this forum. He should be perp walked into Rikers Island
Just like the psycho's running their atf flag up after killing all those children?
How do you determine by my brief observation that he was a nut, that I also infer it's OK to kill him and his followers? Quite a leap on your part.
I found your post ambiguous, so I thought I'd ask.
Do you think it's okay for the US Govt to kill the followers of a crazy man?
...calling out the military on US citizens!
...calling out the military on US citizens!
The race issue may be considered relevant because the gubmint spin at the time was that the Davidians were white rednecks.
Let's not forget that it was the ATF under Poppy Bush who started the 'investigation' into Koresh using the affadavit of a blind man, among others, as evidence of Koresh's 'wrong-doing'.
The government shouldn't kill just for being Psycho.
Only each follower firing weapons at the agents. The innocents (children especially) should not have dies as a result of that whole raid. Plenty of blame on both sides of that issue.
