Sorry to bash on Columbus. But, I remember coming from Basic and Ranger School walking around there feeling like a future crime victim.

While there are illegals in Columbus, this part of town is inhabited by ne'er do wells of a darker persuasion.

Last time I was in Columbus, I just stopped for some Mexican food. There were three old guys out front protesting the removal of the Confederate flag from the state flag.

Local guy reported he was carjacked at the mall. Turns out he had signed it over to a dealer for a couple hundred dollars of crack. After smoking up, buyers remorse set in.

My husband once set out to take our then 7-yr-old daughter to a birthday party at a classmate's house just about 8 mins from ours. She was all dolled-up, excited about going to a party, and had the present in her lap. He came home 30 mins later still with our daughter.

"was the party cancelled?", i asked.

"nope. couldn't find the street". He wanted to consult a map.

*heavy sigh*.

God FORBID he ask anyone outside mowing their lawn, jogging, etc. NOPE...not in the guy code. Whatever....he put now-upset and confused daughter back in car and took her late to the party. (btw...I don't remember any more why he was taking her instead of me...since this is not an unusual occurrence, *I* usually drive kids places!)
