Isn't the dog itself "backyard wildlife"?

PAWS 2005 FAQ
The animal rights folks are pushing this.
Eligible? That's disturbing.

This is all about putting an end to hunting and the guns that people use in that pursuit.
My 3 year-old miniature dachshund killed 2 doves in the backyard yesterday morning. Should I be afraid?
You're just not paying enough attention to "the will of the peapole" as properly re-defined by the Board of San Fransicko who are filled with the proper amount of arrogant self-righteous certitude, dude!!!

A screamapillar, from The Simpsons episode "The Frying Game".
The screamapillar is a large caterpillar that screams nearly all the time, even as it sleeps. It is sexually attracted to fire, and requires constant consolation and encouragement or it will die. Because it is an endangered species under the Reversal of Freedoms Act of 1994, allowing it to perish is a federal offense.
I guess this means Big Brother is now guilty anytime a coyote kills a jackrabbit.
The more of these strange laws I see popping up, especially in California, the more I'm beginning to wonder if California is planning to cede to Mexico? They don't really expect to enforce those nutty laws against free Americans, do they? Probably not. They are passing this stuff to drive the gringos out of the state.
Let me go off on a tangent and bring up one of my "pet peeves" about dogs.
I take my 9-year-old to the local park regularly to play baseball and football. We always have to be on the alert for dogsh*t. It shouldn't be that way.
I don't think dogs should be allowed in local parks at all. I'll be da*ned if the park is a toilet for dogs. Why should I have to be on the alert for their droppings?
Some people actually bring little plastic bags and clean up after their dogs, but even that isn't good enough for me. I'll bet some dog turds are too messy to just be lifted cleanly off the grass.
Grade-schoolers practice football there in the fall. How would you feel about rolling around on the ground where a dog turd was just picked up?
If you want open space for your dog, then find it somewhere other than the local park. Don't like it? Tough sh*t.
I haven't looked up CA; but, in my state, these animal rights freaks have separate agents enforcing animal abuse laws.
So, yes, they actually could enforce these silly laws if they get them on the books. Here, in my state, they have law offices training people for this stuff.

Zackly. Every non-mexican Californian will soon wish they had a squirrel killing dog and mucho ammo to go with it.
