This is the guy who thought he'd introduced Condi to the fact that al Qaeda was a terrorist group. He actually discerned this was news to her by the look on her face. We have in Clarke a second-rate mind and a third rate public servant.

Iran's likely response would be to "use its terrorist network to strike American targets around the world, including inside the United States," Clarke and Simon warned. The first two "strikes" from the mullarans need to be met with two 20 megaton crowd pleasers with clarke and simon strapped to each one. Why these traitors are not in jail is beyond me. Now is the time to put these vermin away for life.

Exactly right. These appeasers and traitors are doing nothing more than putting us all in greater danger. What the hell is Iran supposed to think when high profile Americans like this turd bucket are all over the news telling anyone who will listen how any action we take will result in our destruction?
Seriously, when is this crap going to stop? These so called American's words and actions are putting us in more and more danger each and every day. I guess we are not serious about dealing with our enemies abroad, because we sure as hell aren't serious about our enemies within.

"20 megaton crowd pleasers"
Of course this is a serious topic but I find this description hilarious.
Thanks for a little bit of levity in an otherwise deadly serious topic.

Wasn't he the 'counter-terrorism expert' during the USS Cole attack, African Embassy bombings, etc, etc? Nuff said. Wake me when we find a real expert.

Ah, so they have terrorists and will likely use them, but they won't if we cower in fear?...pst, maybe we should fight them where they are!!

Glad to hear Richard Clarke is so serious about the war on terror (sarcasm off).
BTW Richard Clarke and Joseph Biden have been howling against attacking Iran or Syria since the start of operations in Iraq. The left wants to preserve the radical islamists in those countries at all costs.

Yes, Iran has all this waiting to go, but won't use it unless we provoke them. Because they really just want to get along.
Clarke is saying that Iran is a terrorist state, with terrorist ties all over the world -- and that we should do nothing about it, because we need to live in fear of what terrorists can do to us.
This from the man who complained that we didn't do enough against Al Qaeda.
To: wagglebee
Clarke is right about what Iran will attempt to do if we attack their nuke sites, and that needs to be factored in to any planning we do. The Theocracy in Iran is as nutty as its figure-head President, and they will try to attack us at home and abroad. While we can't cower in a corner, we'd have to face some very unpleasant truth if we start anything with these foaming at the mouth rabid dogs. That having been said, I don't believe that the President will move against Iran until he sees how the mid-term elections shake out (and maybe not even then, if the Democrats are in charge of one or both houses of Congress). That's why, IMO, the last best hope of avoiding a nuclear armed Iran rests with Israel.

A U.S. conflict with Iran could be even more damaging to America's interests than the war with Iraq, former White House counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke wrote in Sunday's New York Times.
I love how Reuters couches as if it's fact that America's interests have been damaged by the war with Iraq.
I have Yahoo! News as my home page for some strange reason. Seeing this guy's ugly mug every time I load up Netscape may be the impetus to change that. In modern horror movies, it's a cliche to put black contacts in someone's eyes to show they are possessed by evil. That's how he looks.

America MUST lose for Democrats/the left to have any chance at wuinning anything, and the willing allies in the media are doing all they can to help them...
Could you IMAGINE anything like this in the time of our grandfathers???

When we take out Iran's nuclear sites, the TV will be filled with countless ex-Clinton types wringing their hands. 'If we'd only given diplomacy a chance. Maybe if we'd put Jimmy Carter in charge of negotiations...'

OK, Clarke, we've heard your criticism.
What's YOUR solution to the Iran problem?
Oh, don't have one, just like to carp, do you?
