Actually, I missed out on being a former Marine because the Corps only allowed a 6 month delayed enlistment period.
So then I joined the Army and about 3 weeks after the birth of my first, and 8 months after my enlistment I was saluting my butt off at Fort Dix. I'm glad that is over.
