I have to agree. Burning of any country's flag is unacceptable, if we're going to turn around and complain when they burn ours.

Congress will now pass a law making Mexican flag burning against the law and giving the flags amnesty.

And what are they going to do about it?

They can call Bush and have him call us vigilantes yet again.

This is an issue for the ACLU to protect the flag burners freedom of expression.

I think Americans are a bit more thick-skinned than that.

-"We consider any provocation or vandalism of national symbols to be unacceptable," Foreign Relations Undersecretary Lourdes Aranda-

Does that include flying the US flag upside down? What about all those fake driver's licenses? If there's a single symbol everyone in America can relate to, it's the driver's license.

I don't hear any libs comparing the Mexican government's reaction to the burning of these flags to the riots that followed publication of the cartoons of Mohammed (police be upon him). I guess that scorn is reserved only for Americans who protest the execution of Afghan Christians who have done nothing except be Christian.

You might end up with a bad rash.

Better stick to toilet paper.

I just believe it's hypocritical for us to complain, then turn around and do it ourselves.
