Meet the Candidates
In the Ohio Republican Primary
for 11th District Court of Appeals

The Court of Appeals might appear boring to some, a ho-hummer to others. No juries present, the Court of Appeals hears cases concerning errors in the lower courts.

Is Matlock even around?

Dorothy Lee, Jeff Black, Paul Brickner - how do they feel about the subjects such as judicial activism? What about the doctrine of stare decisis? Would they side with the Taney Supreme Court? Or would Dred Scott have been a free man?

As a magistrate does Dorothy Lee have the background to sit on the Court of Appeals? Why does she think so?

Do you think that a Democrat might be more prone to judicial activism than a Republican? Ask Jeff Black whether he is a real Republican, or if it's just more convenient right now.

Is Paul Brickner the most conservative of the three? He's not Mr. Excitement, but does this mean he can't get elected?

How do all three feel about lenient sentences for child rapists? What is the Court's role in reviewing cases like the Connor ruling? Should Judge Connor be removed from the bench?
