About Our Book: In direct contrast to the popular phrase, "no weapons of mass destruction have been found," this text presented overwhelming evidence that weapons of mass destruction (WMD) have been found in Iraq. Chemical weapons, a biological warfare program, and key components of a nuclear weapons program were discovered by coalition forces as a result of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Both mustard and nerve agents were used against U.S. troops in Iraq in 2003. Over 50 chemical munitions have been captured in Iraq since the 2003 invasion. In addition to the captured chemical munitions that could kill over 100,000 people, cyanide blocks and active cyanide production labs have been found in Iraq. As a result of Operation Iraqi Freedom, coalition forces discovered biological weapons feed stock in the home of a prominent Iraqi BW scientist to include the most toxic substance known to man. The feedstock when combined with growth media could be used to produce massive quantities of biological agents within weeks. An active production line for Bacillus subtilis was discovered in 2003 that Iraqi scientists confirmed could be converted to an anthrax production line in less than a week. In addition to the declared dual-use facilities that could be quickly converted to make biological weapons, coalition forces found numerous undeclared biological labs in the Baghdad area as well as mobile labs, some of which were buried with expensive equipment and documents on how to make anthrax inside. In spite of UN sanctions and inspections, Iraq managed to preserve key components of its nuclear program to include maintaining stockpiles of undeclared enriched uranium, maintaining uranium enrichment technology, and continuing research to develop a nuclear weapon. Nuclear material to include yellowcake and enriched uranium were found in Iraq after the 2003 invasion. As a result of Operation Iraqi Freedom, centrifuge parts and an ion implantation program to preserve EMIS technology both of which are used to enrich uranium were discovered in Iraq. This book will allow you to review the details of the types and quantities of Weapons of Mass Destruction Found in Iraq as a result of Operation Iraqi Freedom. It includes pictures of U.S. troops capturing nuclear, biological and chemical weapons in Iraq in 2003 and 2004 and details the weapons found to date.

For the longest time, I was convinced that the administration was merely playing a big game of rope-a-dope, which it used to do very effectively.
Yet the lie is now truth. It was told often enough that "factual" nature of the mantra has settled with the American public. The damage is done, so it doesn't matter how much new evidence comes forth.
Even more perplexing is the fact that Bush contributed to the lie himself. One recalls the joke he played on himself at a Washington Press Club dinner (or some other event) where he went "looking" for the weapons while up on stage.
With this stunt, even the discovery of a cache of nuclear war-heads will barely provide the administration when any moral weight since the administration itself seems to have written off the "weapons" exist argument.
Perhaps there was a reason for this. If so, can somebody please explain?

Nobody wants to hear it. The lie of "Iraq had no WMDs" has spread so far and wide that anything, including the truth, is heresay and neocon wet dreams. Sad really, because if you dug up the bekka valley you would find all kinds of WMDs...

Now I do seem to recall us bombing a caravan with Russian advisors that were most likely carrying weapons (or at least wanted members of Saddam's administration) towards the Syrian border.
I can certainly see how that becoming a much bigger controversy would not have been helpful.

The current repubs have to be the worst political machine ever. The Dems are kickin their arses simply repeating lies and even resorting to near treason.
Sure they've won elections but get defined on every issue. I watched the Dems all over the media this weekend projecting the new "Leakgate" story while the President's press team enjoys private time. They are killing him!
In my humble opinion, people don't care about truth anymore. They believe so strongly in their case that nothing can persuade them otherwise. Therefore they are susectible to every tin foil lie that comes down the pike. Bush lied about WMDs. Right. What a 'slap your mother in the face' God Damn Lie that is. Iraq was a WMD dump as well as a haven for terrorists. You know, I don't care if the MSM carries this. They have their own agenda of trying to harpoon the president. I believe and that is enough for me...

How many speeches has the President now given about the NSA program - how many polls have been taken showing the American public believes the NSA program is necessary and not "domestic spying".
However, just the other day at a speech in NC, the President was bombarded by some idiot still saying the NSA was illegal.
Maybe WE are the ones who need to do more. Maybe WE need to start bombarding our friends and relatives with all the good information we get here on FR ..?? Hmmmmm??
Did you know that at the outset of our arming afghanistan against Russia in the 80's we armed them with russian arms only through Pakistan so it would not be traced backed to the US. Later on we let them have US made stingers but from the begining it was all covert.
If the White House was converted into a plutonium-ringed crater and Osama Bin Laden appeared on CNN announcing he got it from Saddam, WMDs were not found.
If poison gas was sprayed over all of Europe and they were plunged back into the days of the Black Death, and Mohammad Al Ima Gona Killu was on TV proclaiming it came from Iraq, WMDs were not found.
If every single liberal on planet Earth was rounded up by crazed Muslim militants in Iraq, and were systematically tossed into a swimming pool of nerve agent so acidic that the bodies vaporized on contact, the very last liberal tossed in would proclaim "Bush lied! No WMDs were ever found!" with their last dying gasp.
...and therein lies the problem.
Eastforker's analysis is the same way I've been looking at it; and also applying that line of thought to Syria.
