Illegal Immigration Reaches Critical Mass (Control of Borders - USA under siege)

The issue of illegal immigration, while long roiling beneath the surface of American politics, is now boiling over.

The eruption began with the introduction of House Judiciary Committee Chairman James Sensenbrenner's (R-Wis.) bill HR 4437 to the Senate following its passage by the House last December. The first attempt at real immigration reform since 1986, this commonsense legislation would have made being an illegal immigrant a felony, authorized additional fencing at the border and required all employers to use an electronic verification system to ensure that workers are legal residents.

Yet the Senate supported the bill only after watering it down with a variety of amendments. It may be further weakened by the competing bills being debated in Congress.

If you weren't concerned about illegal immigration before just medidate on some of these passages:

++++++++++++

America is no longer asked to give refuge to the poor, huddled masses but to allow itself to be overrun by them.

+++++

Who Benefits?

If the unholy alliance of business interests, labor unions, liberal elements of the Catholic Church and other clergy, Hispanic organizations, civil rights groups and leftist organizations has its way, America as we know it will be a thing of the past.

++++++++++++++

USA is under siege! I don't see how we will ever control this illegal immigration!

I get so angry at the disrepect to US citizenship shown by the president.

IF YOU COME TO THIS COUNTRY LEGALLY, WORK HARD, DO EVERYTHING THAT IS ASKED OF YOU AND BECOME A CITIZEN - THEN YOU ARE A FOOL!

Once again the politicos pulled the wool over our eyes- plenty of good laws ON THE BOOKS they DO NOT ENFORCE!!
who cares what they pass I do not believe they (BUSH) and DOJ and DHLS will enforce them any better than they do now.
Sick of the misdirections away from fact BUSH and Congress are turning a blind eye to current laws. And are impeachable on this issue.

What gets me is the 'elected officials' is trying to meet THEIR own agenda. no ours, the USA citizen but a lot of them are digging their own hole, for a while, all will forget and forgive.

Wanna tick a 'elected official' off? Call their office, or when addressing them call them by their FIRST name, forget the Senator, etc.

You are right,they are doing nothing .This is a favorite trick of politicians to dupe the American people by making people think they are doing something about the problem when they are not.

It's like all those congressional investigations where no one goes to jail,no money is recovered and no one loses their job.

The American people no longer has any party that represents them or cares about maintaining a sovereign independent country.

Our government is just one big chamber of commerce that looks out for the needs of big business and giant corporations.

They let them form large monopolies free from competition , provide them with plenty of cheap labor,and destroy the bargaining power of labor and drive down the base wages and paychecks.

The American taxpayer even supplements the wages of these illegals that are taking their jobs and lowering their wages by providing welfare,food stamps medical care at our emergency rooms and free education for their kids.

Talk about being taken for a ride and stabbed in the back. This is disgusting and I hope both parties get thrown into the streets.

The government in Washington estimates that there are about
11 to 12 million illegal aliens in America. Most are from Mexico.

A more accurate estimate is about 40 million illegal aliens.

Do the math. Illegals have been coming into the U. S. for years, it did not start in recent years. The number has increased to a flood beginning 5 years ago.

Almost to a person these people are uneducated, even in their own country, unskilled, without self reliance having no idea of modern civilization.

I have heard the comment, "At least they will work." That's not true. Some will work. Most others live on a day to day basis, on welfare and on day labor. The rest are in prisons.

And when does working justify breaking the law?

The other talking point is that Mexicans do the work Americans will not do. Wrong. Mexicans do the work Americans will not do at peon-wages.

We are suffering a massive demographic population shift of people from backward countries who will bring our civilization and culture crashing down.

We are suffering a massive demographic population shift of people from backward countries who will bring our civilization and culture crashing down.....right on bro...right on...

It is always astounding to me the ignorance and greed of people.

The mere fact that they know for sure that the U.S. is the best place on the planet to live should trigger something in their brains that tell them that this place should be protected and respected. They should know that there are long established procedures that allow people to come here on a legal and therefore welcomed basis

.....but noooooo......

they intend to screw it up for everybody whether they realize it or not. ....Ignorance....malace.....knowlingly?? wtf knows?

The likely outcome of all this will be, IMO, mexicans fighting mexicans because the job market for unskilled labor has to be drying up. Wages are bound to get so low that even mexicans can't live, let alone send money "home". When that happens, they will either have to go back to mexico, or drive some of their fellow mexicans out. It will be fun to watch...if we indeed have that much time.
