Does anyone know if the Hitler surname died out? I've never heard of anyone else with that surname.

Thanks for your post. On the surname Hitler. I have this.

It is a corruption of Huytler and Heidler. Hitler being either a convenient version, or just a mispelling. A common thing about 150 years ago.

William Patrick Hitler was the son of Hitler's half brother,Alois. Alois lived in the United Kingdom for a while, well before Hitler's infamy. His son was frightened in the 1930's, by an invite from Hitler to go to Germany. The father having returned there.William Patrick Hitler being British.

He married in 1947 and has three sons in their 50's. Their family name is Hitler. They do not use it. They live peaceful lives in America. It is said they will not have offspring, purposely.

William Patrick Hitler's mother was Bridget Dowling, an Irish woman. He served in the US Navy in WW2. I believe though, he did not use the name. Understandable.
