DeLay told Matthews that the polls have been consistently against him, and that he decided to withdraw now to give another Republican a chance to run.
He will spend the rest of his career working with Republicans in an advisory capacity.

I was just sitting here waiting for someone to post this, thinking to myself: I must be the only freeper watching MSNBC tonight. LOL
It'll be interesting to see what comes of this. My immediate reaction is that the seat moves to Likely GOP, but I don't know how replacing a candidate works in Texas (as we all know, the primary has taken place).
Anyone know?

Why is Scarborough bring that rat Al Franken on to talk about this? Delay's dropping out, we're losing Delay, and I HAVE TO WATCH FRANKEN'S FAT FACE WHILE FINDING THIS OUT. That's a double-kick in the teeth.
