The state House approved a bill Thursday to expand Arizona's trespassing law to make illegal immigrants' presence in Arizona a crime and to enable local authorities to arrest them.
Under the bill, an illegal immigrant anywhere in Arizona would be guilty of a felony. A law officer arresting someone for investigation of a crime also would be authorized to question the person's immigration status.

Verrrrrrry Interesting!!!!
How soon can we start enforcing this law?AWB
Now were talking... you think the SC will overturn? A lot of states are doing the same thing...

Excellent. Start now.
"The state House approved a bill Thursday to expand Arizona's trespassing law to make illegal immigrants' presence in Arizona a crime"
I wished the governor of Texas, Rick Perry, had the gonads to stand up to the illegals. He lost my vote next Nov.
Didn't think someone would have the OO to do it. Good move.
It's still got to get past the State Senate, Goober Pea Butch da Governor, and the inevitable State Supremes.
"Verrrrrrry Interesting!!!!"
More than several decades late - but it's a start! The state legislatures are starting to get the message - and they want to keep feeding from the trough. Let's see who wakes up next.
So your thinking around 2020?AWB
This could stir the pot.
The State ACLU, MALDEF, LULAC, MeChA,.... will all be screaming bloody murder.
If this makes it past all obstacles, I'm movin' to Arizona.
Got a feeling this will be fast tracked.
Interesting...the quetion is will it be signed in to law by the democrat governor. And will her administration enforce it.
There is a lot of business lobby effort against such laws. The bussiness lobby wants the cheap labor. Its not that Americans wont do the jobs. Its that Americans actually want to get paid for them. Mexicans will work for a fraction and can be fired at a drop of a hat. Its like the middle ages...we have peasants again.
Thanks GW...
Great law.
Glad to see the states exert their authority. The feds will spin their wheels for the next decade trying to decide what to do.
LOL. There want be any days like that for Perry. He has lost my too.
