Grand Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani, the supreme religious authority for Shiite Muslims in Iraq and an icon for Shia worldwide, has apparently decreed that gays and lesbians should be put to death in the worst manner possible. Confirmation of this claim is provided at Sistanis own official website, specifically this page, item 5, from a question and answer section, which translates:
Q: What is the judgment on sodomy and lesbianism?
A: Forbidden. Those involved in the act should be punished. In fact, sodomites should be killed in the worst manner possible.*
Al-Sistani has been lionized as a moderate healing force in Iraq, worthy of consideration for a Nobel Peace Prize (such informal nominations coming from across the political spectrum, i.e., both the New York Times Tom Friedman). His frank ruling which sanctions the brutal murder of homosexuals, in conjunction with the good Ayatollahs earlier pronouncements on the debasing uncleanliness of non-Muslims (i.e., his adherence to the orthodox Shiite doctrine of najis) might dampen his Nobel prospectsalthough one cant be too sure in our moribund contemporary world.

Maybe we should let this guy invade Massghanistan!
Well there goes their following among our leftists.

WOW
1 thing with which I agree.
There goes their support in the Blew states.
I guess they already wear the panties..
I read an aticle that said that Sadr's militia was rounding up Gays & Lesbians left and right and executing them.
That have been setting traps in some internet chat rooms and next thing they know they are beating their doors down and hauling them off !!!!
Funny the MSM been pretty quite about it?
That is because they are muslim.
See!
Nobody's without SOME redeeming virtue!
I wouldn't admit to agreeing with him on that, if I were you.
It does you no credit.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie. Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
First the moderates in Afghanistan, and now the moderates in Iraq. What's the difference between the moderates and the extremists again?
Is it that the moderates wait and check to see if your guilty of being a Christian or gay before they behead you? It's getting more and more difficult to try and be hopeful about Islam's chances of dealing with the modern age. Air travel has made us all a bit closer geographically and its time these imans learned to deal with people that are different without calling for their deaths.
I'm not interested in defending Sistani -the book is still out on him.
But the last article I read about this said that he was answering questions about what the koran says rather than issuing a pronouncement. That article said he went on to say that Iraq had other priorities right now.
If someone asked me what the bible says about witches, I would answer that the bible says they should be killed.
On the other hand, maybe he does want Christian converts dead - his role in history is unclear to me.
"1 thing with which I agree.
"
You do, huh? Well...now we know something about you, don't we?
I don't ge tit -- he'd be among the first playing catcher at the stoning quarry, and yet he thinks islam is so superior...
Religion of Peace. Hate the sin and the sinner and kill him, right after buggering him first. Ahhh, Mohammedanism.
"I wouldn't admit to agreeing with him on that, if I were you."
I'm sure it was sarcasm, but I agree with you since leftists read these posts as well. Does our side no good when we give them fodder to misquote.
More dark ages mind-feces from camel-raping retards. Yay.
