How to intimidate Republican senators
Jewish World Review ^ | 3/31/06 | Wes Pruden

Taking to the streets long ago replaced baseball as our national pastime, and the right to demonstrate how unhappy and oppressed you are in the land of the big PX is what America is all about. Gay caballeros want wives who look exactly like them, feminists usually don't want men but they do want abortions, and they have marched through the streets to say so. The teenagers in the streets of Los Angeles want most of all to show their contempt for the law of the land of good and plenty. Some of them are so oppressed they hardly know where to park their cars, recharge their IPods, mooch a six-pack or download the clanging noise that surrounds them wherever they go.

The unions see compliant fodder to replenish their depleted ranks. Corporate Republicans see a vast and inexhaustible supply of cheap and easily abused labor. Certain Republican strategists think they see an easily manipulated coalition of illegals, resentful Muslims, evangelical Christians and good ol' boys who are poor, uneducated and easy to command.

Thanks, Wes. Nice, concise summary of the viewpoints that have caused the problem.

That's easy: Call the press and say that Senator is a:

Racist
Homophobe
Mean-spirited
Corrupt
Any of Above
All of Above

He'll immediately fal all over him/herself agreeing to whatever you want to avoid the bad press.

So many great lines . The US Senate has about 4 or 5 members who don't make me cringe - the rest are spineless, Republican wimps or anti American, anti military, Democrats.

" Nevertheless, frightened old women in Congress see young bodies in the streets and conclude in their panic
that pandering in Spanish is the way to go this November.
The likes of Sam Brownback and Lindsey Graham, of Arlen Specter and Mike DeWine and
the Amnesty Caucus should have no trouble learning the words to the pledge of allegiance to Mexico,
the Salvadoran battle cry, and all six verses of the Guatemalan national anthem."

Amen,Amen, Amen.

Two terms and out. No more lifetime politicians, go get a real job Kennedy, Biden, Boxer, Finestein, Reid, Durbin and the rest of you bozo's.

If you can limit the Executive Branch to no more than two terms, you can limit the Legislative Branch to no more than two for the Senate and three for the House.

Imagine, no more "ruling class", can't do it, originally the Senate was appointed by the state government, not elected by the people.

Never say never.

Time to repeal the amendment making election of Senators a direct act. Return the power to the states where it belongs. How about we redraw congressional districts along natural borders? No more gerrymandered districts. Get rid of limits on giving to candidates by individuals, make it illegal to donate from corporations. No vote, no legal right to donate. Get rid of tax deductions for giving to a campaign, make the parties pay for their own primary elections, or let them decide who they want to put in them before the election. Get rid of govt financing of elections. Last but not least, make any money given to a candidate for an election, be given and used within the same year.

It is my opinion that we are already in WWIV ( WWIII being the Cold War ) and there are two, somewhat interlocking elements to it:

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Pic, and scroll backwards:

"Thunder on the Border," click the picture:

( PS- my personal prediction? That picture will become one of the most widely distributed, and hated, pictures on the internet. The Illegal Invader lobby could not have done more damage to themselves with that "Mexican Flag Superior, America in Distress" shot if they had tried... )

Thanks.... I guess I was having a hard time understanding why fly the Mexican flag as superior and then fly the American flag as a distress signal. I guess maybe they thought that method to be more demeaning.

The real question is, are we going to allow America to be ruled by street mobs, like a bannana boat "republic," or are we still a nation of laws?
