It sounds a lot like Wisconsin. I have a friend up there and for the most part, the citizens are very conservative - but they vote Democratic - go figure!

I read something not long ago about DNA studies, which showed that a remarkably high percentage of South American men have Y-chromosomes of European origin...which would support the idea that the Spanish who came to America fathered a lot of children by Indian women. I forget the exact percentage.

Bernal Diaz in his eyewitness account of Cortez's conquest of Mexico mentions a number of cases where one of the conquistadors married an Indian woman, but they were women of high social standing...kind of like John Rolfe marrying Pocahontas.

I don't need to waste my time arguing with someone who thinks 500,000 civilians could take over a city, and we would let them keep them. The California National guard would stop any such aggression.

With all due respect, should such a "riot" (and I'll call it what it potentially could become) with those 500,000 civilians occurred, would Gov. Arnold actually have the brass ones to call out the CA National Guard?

I don't think the issue is that they couldn't stop them, it's if they'd be allowed to.

Has he spoken of the issue in the last few days?

The question that nags me is how can a self proclaimed super power allow itself to be invaded and colonized by these aztlan foot soldiers without nary a peep from our "alleged" leaders. Makes one wonder who our founding fathers were warning us about when they mentioned "domestic enemies".
