Yeah maybe we should have ALL our policies determined by the feelings of illegal alien school children. Such as the War in Irag.

Oh, its been millions and millions of dollars...most of the counties have been on full deployment with their officers, 12 on, 12 off since last week, and there will be no FEMA reimbursement like in Natural Disasters. Plus a lot of students missed state mandated testing...

Karl - thanks for this info - I don't believe I've heard/seen it before - - especially about missing the tests.

I got caught in the middle of a march from Hoover High in San Diego. By the time I got my camera from my truck the bulk of the protesters had passed. This latecomer was more than happy to pose for a quick shot.

Thanks Karl. Doug McIntyre said that a large group walked out in front of his car as he was leaving the station a day or two ago. They're not just endangering themselves, they're endangering everyone.

What are these publik skooled idiots going to do when they've worn out their 15 minutes of fame and the press doesn't care?

My best guess -- an imitation of France. Yeah. THAT will get 'em on the 6:00 news.

And just where are the so-called "parents" of these hoodlums? I suppose truancy is "cultural" now.

Bakersfield, CA.

Assemblywoman Nicole Parra, D-Hanford, released a statement commending students for their dedication but urging them to work with schools.

Bakersfield, too? We will have anarchy if our elected officials like Villaraigosa, Parra, Nunez, et al don't quit endorsing these folks. Even the governor could only find kind words. "Lenience" is not the first word that I would have thought of.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was in Bakersfield Wednesday on an unrelated matter, took a different tack. He said he understood the spirit behind the protests but prefers students stay in class.

"It's just maybe one way -- or the only way -- they can express themselves about a certain issue," Schwarzenegger said. "So one has to be also lenient about it."

Los Angeles International Charter High School participate in a march in honor of the legacy of Cesar Chavez Thursday, March 30, 2006, in the Eagle Rock section of Los Angeles.

Looks like another administrator with them
