One thing to consider in all of the "amnesty" for scofflaws. We cannot reward bad behavior. And politicians are worried that 11million new voters will vote against anyone against amnesty.

How about a provision of the amnesty which denies these people citizenship (after all they entered illegally) but will not deport them? (A) this keeps them off the voter rolls (and doesn't Fox already permit and even encourage "dual citizenship voting"?) which keeps their status off the table politically (B) they do not get to cut in line and become citizens while those who did file are told to wait, (C) it is hard to revoke citizenship for immigrants and it is not necessary to deport them to get them to return south of the border - businesses often have "layoffs through attrition". Don't cater to their needs and they may decide to leave on their own. This is not to say "turn up the heat", just stop accepting their immigration as a complete "done deal".

#1 Guest worker children born here will be American and can vote. This will impact heavily down the road. Anchor babies are already impacting, just look at these school pictures
#2 Democrats want a "clear path to citizenship" because they can vote when they become citizens and can get welfare. Citizens can sponsor family for legal immigration
#3 The Republican plan only delays eventual citizenship. Anyone who lives here 6-8 years as a guest worker will not be denied the ability to apply for citizenship by a future PANDERING president and Congress
#4 The worst Senate bills will inundate us with 30 million immigrants in the next decade. Make that 40 million if the real number of illegal aliens is 20 million
