Kerry and Producer do Battle for Honor
New York Times ^ | March 27, 2006 | Sara Ivry

Posted on 03/28/2006 3:49:59 AM PST by Peach

When Senator John F. Kerry set up a legal defense fund last month to fight a civil suit charging him with conspiracy and defamation, he called it the "Fund for Truth and Honor." The name seems to tweak the title of "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," a 2004 documentary that criticized Mr. Kerry for his activities in the early 1970's in Vietnam Veterans Against the War. Carlton Sherwood, the journalist and Marine veteran who produced the film, and the Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation filed the lawsuit in October in federal court in Philadelphia. The suit accuses Mr. Kerry and an aide of campaigning to stop the Sinclair Broadcasting Group from showing "Stolen Honor" and of trying to injure Mr. Sherwood's business and reputation. "If there's one lesson we learned from 2004, it's how much the right wing is willing to spend to attack John Kerry's honor," said David Wade, a spokesman for Mr. Kerry. "We want to set up some mechanism so that if this gets very expensive, you have some means of fighting back." Mr. Sherwood said this fight was nonpartisan. "This is a personal thing. It has nothing at all to do with his politics," he said. He called it an effort to make Mr. Kerry answer for having "defamed and excoriated hundreds of thousands of men, some of them killed in action, just for his own political future."

This suit is interesting. I'll bet one of the first things the plaintiff will try to get on discovery is Kerry's full military records. Here's hoping they're successful.

Mr. Kerry speaks of "Honor" a lot for a man who has none.

It would take a lot of room to write of all this man has done that wasn't honorable.
No honorable man has to put himself in for medals he didnt earn, a man who served Honorably in the military usually gets an honorable discharge when they leave the military, not years later. Also an Honorable man would keep their promise to release their record. Where is the Honorable F-180, Hanoi John?

Maybe he threw it over the White House fence. No, that couldn't be it--he only throws other people's medals over the White House fence.

Now let's get serious for a moment here, Mr. Wade. One can not attack that which does not exist.

There was supposed to be a documentary coming out that highlighted the ineptness of Kerry during his campaign but I never saw anything about after it was announced.

Does anyone remember the name of it or has anyone seen it? I'd love to see it, since it was reported to be hilarious.

It was called Inside the Bubble. I think it had some limited showings but has not been in wide release. Maybe the DVD will be coming out soon. I'd love to see it, also.

Besides which, exactly how much was spent? Not nearly as much as Kerry and his Soros-cronies spent in trying to defame and discredit the Swifties.

The Swifties brought down Hanoi John with the chicken feed they were able to raise from donors in the 6 months prior to the election. Doesn't take much to expose a liar like Kerry, it's much more expensive to hide the lies, eh John?

"If there's one lesson we learned from 2004, it's how much the right wing is willing to spend to attack John Kerry's honor,"

If he was a truly honorable man there would be nothing to attack.

How much time and money has the left spent to attack the President's honor.

The President hasnt spent a dime defending himself and IMO hasnt spent enough time doing it either. And they got ZILCH.

Kerry's full military records

Wait, last I recall Kerry said he HAD signed form 180 and that his people were just going over it one last time before they released it. That was in Jan of '05.

What a disgusting, lying POS.

Just a line I heard from a female comedian the other night. Can't remember her name. It was from a Red-neck perspective.
